I need to change my car

So i have discovered that the boot of my current car will not take my Graco Buggy without the back seat down which isn't exactly ideal
I currently drive an 04 Fiesta Steel
Newest addition to the family is due December 19th so i have about 9 weeks to change

    Any suggestions?
My budget will be around €3,500 I would prefer not to go above a 1.4L
Obviously I need a car with a bigger boot but I'm not looking for an Avensis or other big saloon type car as the hubby has one of them already ;)

I'll mainly be using the car for quick trips into town shopping or on school runs etc so would prefer something economical
    Any suggestions???

    Preferred location Clare/Limerick/Galway/North Tipp

No I have a buyer for the Fiesta am getting €3750 for it
I want to spend €3,500 for the new car and use the extra €250 to have my parrott car kit & ipod kit moved from Fiesta to new car and to put tax on new car if it doesn't have any

Cars are more expensive then a buggie

But seems you have a buyer for your car you can pick up a good car for 3500 a focus has a big boot and are a nice car

Yer fully agree here but get the 1.6 the 1.4 is horrible and pretty much dangerously slow, you'll definitly find something in your budget.

Not the most popular brand name but fits your needs perfectly.

You're being robbed by the installer there!

Look at cars for about €1k more than your budget and haggle hard. Will open up a lot more options and even if you do spend a couple of quid more you'll probably end up with a better car.

    250 euros !! Jesus !!

It would be more around the 90 - 100 euro mark.

150 to move the parrott & the ipod kit (2 different pieces of kit) its 75 to take out and 75 to re-install
100 approx to tax car for 3 months if it doesn't have tax on it

i would also recommend a peugeot 307. prefarrably a 1.4 hdi diesel. it will do 60 mpg. the other one someone linked looks dodgy with 4 owners. you should get a 03 diesel one and the tax will be low. get an xt and it will have automatiuc everything

Your being ROBBED, that should take no more than 2 hours FACT, I used to fit them myself so I'm speaking from experience, and if its the same guy who put it in your fiesta then he should be able to remove it in like 20 minutes. P!sses me off people trying to charge that. get it done elsewhere please!!!

I would not bother with a diesel if you are doing small mileage. If a turbo fails then it will cost more to replace than you will ever make back at the pump.

Maybe something like an Opel Meriva or Ford Fusion would be practical while still being compact and easy to drive:

How much do you reckon then?
Halfords seem to charge 69.99 to fit car kit so 75 for parrott and ipod kit didn't seem too bad
There seems to be only one company in Ennis doing this and it will be a pain having to travel to limerick or galway with 2 cars :(

Can you and the OH not just swap cars when necessary?

Seems like a lot of pointless hassle.

When my hubby crashed his car earlier this year he drove mine for the 4/5 weeks while waiting to get a replacement car
For the entire 4/5 weeks he whinged & complained and moaned about my fiesta :D

He's well over 6ft and built like a tank so its not really the most suitable car for him
He's also a cop so a little Fiesta wouldn't really suit his image

How many doors and what year?

I think it might be better to swap with him and let him buy a car with trading in your fiesta.
