    Hi All,

Just wondering does any one have any information on distance learning / evening courses (Sligo Area) relating to Energy Efficiency. I have BSC Deg in Quantity Surveying and would like to go on to specialise in some way in Energy Efficiency work such as Wind Farms, Upgrade of Existing Houses etc.

    Thanks

    Michael

You could try http://odl.itsligo.ie/engineering/post-graduate-diploma-in-energy-management/ although it seems a bit late to start now. University of Ulster also have a distance learning course which is cheaper as far as I know http://prospectus.ulster.ac.uk/course/?id=7766 Both colleges have alternatives that may suit you
    Hope this helps

Finishing my dissertation for the IT Sligo MSc EM, everything passed, just have to submit the thing  Its a pretty good course, some holes, but like all courses nothing is perfect.

If your working and have a busy day the course is very suitable as all the lectures are recorded and can be viewed later and the lecturers are pretty straight laced and understand when you have work commitments.

The course will not give you any specific specialized skills or training but a very solid foundation to spring board you in a number of directions (iSBEM, Energy Management, Wind Turbine Installs/planning...etc....)

Really like the Moddle and Adobe Connect features of the ITs distance learning - brings teaching up to date through remote access. Better then traditional distance learning IMO.
