Details on Business card?

    Hi,
Just wondering what people consider to be important details to put on their business cards. (I am only starting out with this new business and am based at home)

I have the Business name with a short tag line underneath.
Then the phone no., web, e-mail and Facebook links. Thats it and enough I would have thought, for anyone to be able to contact me/see my product and order it. We post the product usually or deliver it ourselves locally.

My business requires a laptop, printer and some photo frames and I work from my house (no official office set up yet. Laptop can be any where, printer and frames in front room and desktop computer in kids playroom)

A few people (older people-possibly not good with internet?) have enquired as to where we are based as it is not mentioned on the business card and want to know where they can call in to see the product etc.

Should I put my home address on the business card even though I haven't a dedicated office and there is likely to be kids and friends in the house, tv on and possibly probably baby making noise etc

    Feedback appreciated, thanks.

Why not put a general area on the address such as your nearest town and county

Is the company also your name? think its essential to have your name maybe your position too. My opinion it looks more professional.

Its almost as cheap to print a double sided card as a single sided card, so use one side for the basics - logo, address, contact details, and a single line "advert" such as "Personal Framing Specialists".

On the reverse you can put a general offer (a value priced proposition where you can hold that price for up to 2 years - such as professional passport & ID photo set €29), facebook details, professional qualifications and anything else - but no too crowded.

I have double sided cards to explain a bit more about my business, but I have been told by a few people that they would never think of turning over a business card, so I've moved some of the details to the front.

On mine I have Business Name, another little tagline, my name, website, facebook, phone number, email and my general address, as I also work from home. At least people know what part of the country I'm in, for example it's similar to "Clane, Co. Kildare", just enough without giving my home address.

If you don't want to put the address on the card don't put it there. If someone asks where you are based, tell them.

Most people like the idea of doing business with a company/trader that is local.

I think it's best to include an address, if you don't want your home address, get a virtual address - there are lots of places offering the facility.

A double sided card is a great idea and people definitely look at them, but the important information should be on the front.

My business card has all my details on the front and then lists my services on the back. People seem to love it and always compliment me on the card.
