Retro in Georges St Arcade may have something like this - not 100% sure but I know they do the 50's style swing dresses.

That's called a circle skirt/poodle skirt. Ebay sells them here

I love the colour and not a bad price. I'm now looking for the underskirt, there is a few on ebay but I'd really like to try one on first. I'm looking for a very exaggerated 'poof' in the skirt..

I'm guessing I'd get one in a lingerie section? ? I've had a look on M&S webstite and debhenams but no luck...

I doubt you'd get one in a mainstream shop, the only place I've ever seen them are vintage/retro shops.
