Hi guys just wondering if any one knows if there are any current serving Paramedics in Ireland who have type 1 diabetes (who require the use of insulin) or where the HSE and DFB stand on this policy.

    Thanks

    C.

I know of one T1 diabetic taking insulin who is a serving PHECC Registered Paramedic with the HSE, and was before their application to the service.

I can find out more specifics for you but will not post them here.

As regards policy, I'm not certain but give HSE Occupational Health in Tullamore a ring (where the NAS medicals are held) and put your query to them. Tel 0729359137
