Just looking to gather some thoughts and opinions on the use of permeable paving in carparks.

Seems to becoming more and more used in the industry for a number of different reasons.

Has anybody any experience of the system? Good reports and bad welcome.

Recently finished a large carpark in this system and waiting on a decent down pour to see what she's like for draining.

Yeah maintenance is the issue, once the joints silt up they are no longer permeable so you need to do a serious maintenace job.

I know that at least one of the two German Discount Stores chains, have started using permeable paving on their sites. Having deal with them in the past low maintenance and cost is a factor, in selection of products/systems, so much have faith in the products.

The Civic Offices (County Council Offices) in North Tipp (Nenagh) have permeable paving installed in their car parks for a number of years now (maybe 5 or so). That local authority is quiet happy to allow permeable paving in schemes.
