Hi! I have never claimed tax back. At present in a job I started in March/ April and finishing up the end of December for good. Before this I worked a year full time with a different employer. And before this with various different jobs on and off. Do you think I am entiled to tax back? And if so, will I apply now or wait until unemployed in January??
And also, what is the process?

Any feedback greatly appreciated (kinda newish to boards!:))

Thank you!! Why January...was just going to send off PPS no to local tax office. Would it matter if did both?

You can claim tax back for up to 3 years (I think). Log onto revenue.ie - get a PIN and check that you have claimed all your entitlements, e.g. trade union subscriptions, bin charges, rent allowance etc. You can get 2009 & 2008 assessed but like a previous poster mentioned you're probably best to wait till January to claim for this year.
