    For daily driver M50

    What i came up with was

    Falken
    FK-452
    Toyo PROXES T1-R
    Falken ZIEX ZE-912

    What are peoples opinion on a compromise tyre suitable for daily with occasional track day.

    R888s are out of budget as i have all four to replace for EU rated tyres

    I have 452's on the Octavia and I find them great,2 of my mates have them aswell. One is driving a GTI and the other a OPC and no complaints thus far!

    I have 452's fitted now, great tyre for the price, also ha ziex ze-912's on my old car, great tyre too, not as sporty as the 452's but softer ride and less road noise.

    i allways found T1Rs best bang for the money. Really cheap for performance it gives.

    T1R's are amazing in the dry, don't find them very happy in the wet though!

    Perfect on track too, and still drove home on them in the Civic :D

    i have all t1rs on mx5, and its briliant, no matter is it dry or wet. OFC it is amazing on dry :o. Its being used every day aswell.

    I just waiting to destroy some really crapy tyres on skyline, so i can get a set of t1rs on it. Got tyred of arse going happy sideways on everysingle roundabout when you dont whant it :mad:. driving on third gear on wet and having wheel spin becomes more dangerous...

    newer had any trouble with t1rs.

    I had Toyo Proxes PX-4s on my car and they were so good that I got another set recently. They handle savage in the wet and not bad in mild frost/snow as well (came in very handy last winter). I've never taken them on track but here's a review;

    T1-R are good for what they are but they arent great when pushing, tyre sidewalls are way too soft imo, but im used to a more agressive sidewall, i felt i lost a bit of corner responsiveness with these, the soft side wall increased body roll a fair bit in comparison to the Potenza RE01r or Toyo R888 but then again these are in a different league.

    In saying that they are perfect for daily driving with the odd bit of pushing but id learn their limits,;). as for track i took mine out on track with T1-Rs it was fun but they are not designed with track in mind at all, but the grip is fairly progressive for a budget tyre

    I wnt with the Falken FK-452in the end for the stiffer side-wall and is harder wearing.
