Has anybody had personal experience with this site? how do they fare against other airsoft sites on price for postage to Ireland?

also Im getting a couple of upgrade parts (customs wont be a problem as its not a gun), and im wondering how much postage costs from america to here. i know it changes with weight and dimensions, but a general idea based on distance.
how can i check how much my postage will be? it says email for a quote, so where do i email and what do i say?

    thanks alot,:)

I bought a DBoys M203 Grenade Launcher from them for €75 + €30 Shipping. Very happy with the service and delivery time.

The general consensus (from myself included), that there is virtually no point ordering from America as you have to, in essence, pay VAT twice. They have to pay it for initial importation into the US, and then you have to pay it upon importation into the EU.

You are usually better off with the Asian retailers; RSOV.com, EBairsoft.com (some have issues, some don't), EHobbyAsia.com etc

I ordred some pistol parts last year from them, excellent customer service, good delivery time but the delivery price was steep. Not their fault though, the dollar conversion and taxs are the real killer. They have an excellent range though and often have parts that cant be found a lot of places. If I'm ever stuck they would usually have it...for a price.

i wanted to buy from evike because

    1. it has all the specific parts i want, and in one place.

    2. Its quite cheap compared to ireland. heres what i want

    Shopping Cart

    1 x G&P M120 High Speed Airsoft AEG Motor. ( Long Type )
1 x Guarder 50% Hop Up Bucking For Airsoft AEG
1 x PolarStar Concave Spacer (PCS) Officially Licensed SCS High Performance Airsoft Hopup Spacer
1 x New Version Mad Bull Airsoft Black Python 6.03mm tight Bore Inner AEG Barrel. (363mm)

    $81.97

so its 81 dollars without shipping. then ive got a 20% off coupon. so its $65, which is €47 without shipping.
47 euro for all that is reasonably cheap compared to buying it in ireland isnt it?

And I would have thought buying from an asian seller would mean longer postage times and more expensive postage costs.

@ hightower1, would you mind giving me the price for the parts you ordered and the postage price? just so have an idea on how much smallish things cost to post out. only if you dont mind though. :)

Don't forget you're gonna be hit for VAT when that comes into Ireland, so factor that in too.

I think it depends on what you buy. My launcher was $75 + whatever shipping thats all i paid.

You were just lucky then but they're a lot more diligent now and are getting most packages that exceed the €22 limit now. You're more than likely going to be hit for Vat and An Posts 'handling charges' if ordering outside the EU now.

I cant remember exact figures seeing as it was last year but the part were in the region of 45 dollars and the shipping came to about 30 I believe.

@hightower1 wow 30 dollars for some parts :O
were they particularly heavy or big?

@AVose: I checked on EHobbyAsia - including shipping it was €54. You'll get hit with VAT on top of that though, so you're talking about €13.50 extra, so roughly €57.50. That doesn't include one of the parts, cause I had no idea what it was. It's for G&P motor, Madbull Barrel & Guarder Hop.

Have a look, and try out a few combinations. If you pay for things seperately, and have them delivered in different orders, you shouldn't be liable for the import duty/VAT - just remember to do the math of VAT versus additional shipping costs. You may save a few quid

thanks for going to the trouble of actually working out the price(s)! :D im surprised somebody would care that much :P

i did consider ehobbyasia, but when i checked my products, the motor is out of stock, and the "concave spacer" isnt listed. This spacer is small, but it can make a huge difference to your hop-up.

I really want to find somewhere that has everything i need, but not at an unreasonable price. would it be cheaper/easier for me to go to 2 or more different places for these parts?

oh and when you said add 13.50 vat, did you mean to say the price would then be "67.50"? :P

    Woops, yup...meant €67.50 - one of those days:P

It only took a couple of seconds...I just wanted to give you another option. It really depends on what you're looking to get...you're after very specific parts, there shouldn't be any issue with ordering from Evike. Just remember to add on 25% to the final cost, and that's your ballpark figure in case you get stung by VAT
