so i went to house of color training school and had an all over chestnut brown and i asked for highlights or lowlights just a few shades lighter than the brown, i asked which would be best twice she avoided the question, guess she hadn't a clue ! I said i didn't want blonde just a lighter brown something subtle . anyway she didn't listen to a word i said and i ended up with blonde highlights ! I have since tried to cover them with a semi perm chocolate brown color but they now look very red copper :( what color should i put in to cover them get rid or the red highlights ... i swear i have had such a bad time with hairdressers the last while I'm afraid to go back so going to dye my hair myself. ideally what i would like is an all over light chocolate brown like the pic below. i dont mind the highlights being a few shades lighter once they are brown thats what i wanted all along.
