    Hi
I know this topic may have been covered before, however anyone out there using the Caddy Lite GPS? Can you recommend or not? And what is the the breakdown of costs (cost of unit, cost of downloads, annual subs?) in buying and using it?

    Thanks

The Golf Buddy is a far better piece of kit, yes its a bit dearer to buy but you have no downlaod fees.

Far better with a laser device.

Far better with a laser device.

Its slightly more accurate than GPS, but takes longer to use (and you feel like a tool pulling it out of your bag, and standing there trying to get a reading from the flag, which can be difficult depending on conditions) and relies on a clear line of sight to the pin. No need to fiddle with GPS pressing buttons etc - it gives real time readings to front middle and back of greens, together with all hazards along the way - just have it attached to your bag or trolly and you are away on a hack. Plus you will struggle to find many clubs that are not on the golf buddy course list

Unless you are a low handicapper, go with GPS imo
