Just happened to find this article by pure accident and when I read it I could only think 'Is this lad fúcking serious!'

Nothing drives me nuts more than someone using religion either as an excuse to be a pure and utter homophobe. People like him is shows us in a way whats wrong with the world.

'God' also created men to beat their wives and to stone anyone who works on Sunday to death.
Honestly, whatever input that god has into 21st century issues is a bit outdated and irrelevant.

I know only too many people with a bible stapled to their hands that need to wake up. Clinging to something that lacks relavence for certain issues.

Overall though, its astonishing how much the Tea Party movement has swung the conservative ground in the US out to the right.

It doesn't annoy me too much, but how such an ass should be let obtain power in the highest levels of Government or otherwise does.

I laughed so hard at this!!! I agree but I can understand being angry too. I HATE those US evangelist types. My friend was at a funeral in the US and they turned up protesting because he was gay...he's DEAD guys leave it alone ffs. But you have to laugh, that their own lives are that devoid of substance that they dedicate all of their time to hating others just for trying to be happy and fulfill who they are without hurting anyone.

What's interesting here is that this lad isn't an evangelist but rather a good auld Catholic. And what he said is something any Irish politician of faith would be bound to agree with...

The continuing shift in the attitude of Joe Average towards gays has forced these mainstream religions into an unholy alliance - so a Catholic knows he has a receptive audience for this kind of rubbish in a Jewish synagogue.

I was just using the evangelists as an example as they're the leading group in the public eye at the moment using hatred as a form of "worship". Which all religions do in some shape or form, that's how they thrive. Without hatred/fear they would simply cease to exist.

It's all bull**** and it's bad for you.
