5 years wholetime service

Anyone know any details about the 5 years wholetime service needed to apply for the role of principal/vice principal? Is it a hard and fast rule? does it just apply community schools or is it relevant for all types of secondary schools..same for voluntary secondary schools? cheers for the help in advance

It counts for all sectors AFAIK. However leeway is possible if the school is really small i.e. primary 2 teacher OR no one is applying and they have to soften the boundaries.
Other than that, 5 years seems reasonable
