Epidural pain relief

Hi all. I have Scoliosis, was operated on twice as a child and didnt have any massive complications until now. I was involved in a car accident several months ago, and my back 'went' straight away.

Anyhow months on, and lots of pain relief and physio, the pain had got worse.
I was then referred for an Epidural, which I took a bad reaction to, and am worse off than ever before:mad:

I guess I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced such a reaction, and if so how long did it take to ease off? I had mine over 2 weeks ago.
    Thanks in advance

P.S. I don't know if its relevent but I have a harrington rod in my back from operation as a child. (I'm 30 now).

A friend of mine gets epidural treatment for back pain about once a year, with no side effects to date.
