Free parking in Dublin?

    Hey,

    Just wondering if there are any good places to park for free in dublin city centre?

    Or even cheap parking?

    On street parking is still free of charge in Portland Row and Sherriff Street AFAIK. Both in Dublin 1 (north inner city).

    Although I'm not sure what you mean by "good places"!

    I just mean places kinda central and where my car mist likely won't get robbed. :)

    there are loads of places in the city center - but some commuters travel in super early and get them, I've found an area near my work where I get free parking all day (hope you don't mind but I'm not telling where simply because I cant afford to pay *€30+ per day for on street parking)

    *price based by on street parking prices.....based on an 8hour day

    Im not too sure of any free spots but up near smithfield right next door to the courthouse near grangegorman, there is a a carpark which is only 5euro for a full day (24hrs like includes overnight in case you find yourself going for some beers after work ;)) Its 10 min walk to Henry st. or can even get a luas from smithfield if your feeling lazy or its raining

    Does anybody else know where there might be cheaper all day parking, ideally somewhere up near Pearse Street. Used to use the place up on Poolbeg St? but drove into work one morning to find it's closed. I know Jervis street is €12 all day but a bit of a hike across to work. Cheers
