Yes, lets empty the last bits of our bank accounts.
Those still lucky to have ones with money of any worth in them.

The prices of some of that stuff is madness.

A well known shop is having a toy sale they doubled the prices and try and fob us off thinking we are getting a bargain when actually we would be just paying that price anyway

Bought a wireless keyboard/mouse for someone a while back.
Went to price it in Harvey Normans (you know, the ones who are always saying their prices can't be beaten!). I got news for them, they can!
They wanted to charge €139 for the keyboard/mouse. Feck that I said and went to Pcworld.
    They charged me €57.
No sales in either shop, no discounts, etc. Just standard every day prices they were selling them at. And this is by far, far not the first time I've seen folk beeing ripped off my such crazy variations in prices for the same things.
I even seen Dunnes have MAD! different prices for the same things in different stores on the same day, with again, no sales on in either!

Speaking of money madness... Try flying into Blackpool. In order to get out of the airport, your now charged a 20 quid fee for a "Airport Development Fee".
It was 10 but now they have upped it to 20.

(So if your flying both ways, that an extra 40 quid on your flight bill)

    pretty sure that is illegal.

That depends. A retailer can increase prices for a certain time - let's say they double them, then reduce them to say 50% of that price, then call it a half price sale. That's legal.

However, under consumer legislation it is an offence to give a false or misleading previous price. For example, if the retailer crosses out one price and replaces it with another for the sales, that older price must be accurate and unless otherwise indicated, the goods must have been on sale in the same place at that previous price for a reasonable time.
