    Hi!

Does Anyone Know What The Product Code Is For An Acer Extensa 4620z Screen?

And Can Somebody Tell Me What "Rev" Means? I've Seen It Beside Some Laptop Screen Product Codes

OEM Manufacturers bring out different revisions of the same product line. Sometimes it's to correct a problem with the previous version and sometimes it's just a part for a different system builder. You usually need to match the part revision to the one you're replacing, for example, if your part is rev 1.1 and you see a cheaper one online and the only difference is that it is rev 2.0 then you could have compatibility problems. With an LCD screen, a different revision could mean different mounting hardware, different electronics array, a different connector type, etc.

If you go to this page you can look up different part #'s in relation to different model numbers. I think you should have a longer model number like 4620-6402 or 4620-5AG16Mi and that gives you a part # like LX.E890Z.016 Just scroll to the bottom of the page.

It will on the back of the screen. Have you removed yours? Your screen will also have the part #.

The link I gave is definitely for the screen. Is there a label on the bottom of your laptop with the full model no, 4620-****. The applet on that site is one way of figuring out the part # for the screen, a much more accurate way would be to remove the screen and look at the label. If the screen is damaged you'll have to do that anyway. It might be easier if you explain what you're trying to do.

I don't think it will be possible to check it online without having at least the full model number. If it was me I'd get the laptop off the friend and remove the screen and use the information about the part number and revision on the back of the screen to get the new one. Then fit it. You might be able to find a database of screen part #'s online but again you would need the full model number.
