Help - Boiler emergency!

Anyone on-line who can tell me how to turn off the water to a glow-worm boiler. It's gushing out the emergency release valve - which appears to be in my sitting room (but that's an issue for another day). I think the valve must be broken as it's showing no sign of stopping, I've turned the boiler off awhile ago now. I thought it was worth throwing a post up while I continue to search for the manual...........

Turn off your mains water either under your sink or in the footpath.

Then you will need to look for an automatic filling valve or a filling loop.

Thanks - Found the stopcock (well hidden) and a neighbour with the physical strength to turn it

I'll see if I can find filling valve or loop in the manual

The filling loop may be in the hot press, in the attic or near the boiler. These are common locations but it could be anywhere.

It may look something like the filling loop in the pic below.....

There's a gauge like that in the hot press but no loop that I can see

It could be the red 'tap' on the pipe below the tank. Check first to see if it is on or off - if it's tightened fully clockwise then it's off.

EDIT: What's the reading on that gauge?

That's the hot press wall (I should've rotated the pic) so that tap is effectively above the gauge and is fully on. Similar tap near the bottom of the tank in the hot press is also fully on. Pressure is 0 since I turned the water off - usually 1ish but may have gone higher as the boiler was showing high pressure which lead to the water coming out in the first place.

Turn that tap off and then turn the water back on - see if that stops it.

The PRV (fitting water is pouring out of) maybe damaged or the filling valve is.

Cheer crosstownk - that's done the job. Water supply back on but nothing more than a drip from the boiler!

I think its the PRV - water almost exploded out of it and then eased but didn't stop. I have a plumber coming tomorrow afternoon so hopefully he'll get to the root of the problem.

I don't know how to do the 'Thanks' thing on here but I appreciate the help from both of you today.

Edit - found the thanks icon!

Glad it's sorted! I'd imagine it's the PRV.
