Last x-mas i bought by mam a guess bag and wallet, the guess bag was got in the states and the wallet on the guess web site, Every time she walks into a shop with the bag it sets of the alarm, yet there is no tag on it from what we can see. Just wondering has anyone had the same problem with guess bags, and how did ye go about stopping it as its causing some looks each time she sets the alarm off.

Are there any metal loops/hoops on the bag? If the alarm is an induction based alarm, they can set it off sometimes.

Is the bag or the wallet which sets of the alarm?

Its the bag, there is metal hoops/rings as far as i know just a magentic clip. Whats an induction based alarm?

Actually, my bad, they're usually based on electromagnetics - more information here.

But if you have something metallic in the bag, there is a chance that it could be setting them off. I had an umbrella that did this once.

The other possibility is that there is still a tag in the bag or wallet. Go through it in fine detail - making sure to search every crevice.

Some tags may look like this3x3%20barcoded%20RF%20label.jpg

Also look out for these buggers

I innocently took one off a new CD and left it in my hand bag, weeks later I'm around shopping and setting off every single alarm! So, like Dudara said check every little spot, a tag could be hiding anywhere!
