Stupid dipstick question

This might be a really stupid question (a lot of my motoring questions are probably stupid), but the dipstick in my Kia Shuma is broken. Well the metal isn't broken, but the rubber sealing part of it is broken. So the dipstck won't seal and neither can I actually check the oil level as there is nothing to stop the dipstick from going all the way in (if you get what I mean)

So can I just pop into a motor factors and pick up a generic dipstick, so do I have to get a genuine Kia part

    Thanks
    Dace

You'll need a dipstick for that particular car. Have you called Kia for a price?

You will have to get a dipstick for a Kia. Call your local Kia dealer or even try some car breakers, you might be able to pick one up for cheap. ;)
