Scared that people think I'm smug

hey everyone, I'm a teenager and have social anxiety. I'm prone to depression and have been seeking help for it but recently i can feel myself falling back into it.

With my anxiety i tend to get a nervous smile on my face when looking someone in the eye or if someone asks me a question. If someone is having a serious conversation with me I start smiling a little and I'm scared that they will think I'm not taking them serious or I'm being a smart arse.

At school when the teacher asks me something the smile comes on my face and it's all i can think about. If i get results from a test and someone asks me how I did the smile starts, I'm so worried people will think I'm being a smug bastard. I feel like a part of me dies inside every time it happens :(

Do you have any advice on how I control it?

any help would be greatly appreciated

There's nothing wrong with smiling! Has someone said something to you to make you think it appears smug? In 99% of cases a smaile will help someone relate to you!
