    Hi,

Total noob here when it comes to mail and servers etc but I have a question. Is it possible to create a email account using iMail that doesn't end in @mac.ie or @mac.com. Basically I want to set up an email account with a company name at the end e.g. joeblogs@example.com instead of a gmail, hotmail, ending. Just to make it look more professional, I haven't set up a website for the company just yet, maybe in the next 2 months but I want to start sending emails out with the company name,

    Hope this makes sense,

    cheers

You can set up any mail account that uses POP or IMAP as long as you have the server details.

    ^ what aidan said.

But just to clarify, you can't actually create an email account from scratch using Mail. It sounds like that's what you are trying to do. Mail is just an email client that uses an existing account to send and receive mail. So if you want an email address with a company name as the server you'll have create that elsewhere, probably with a hosting company.
