    Greetings.
I am student from Ukraine, Odessa; finishing the 4th year of my University (will get the diploma (summer 2011).

Looking forward to getting my MD, have chosen DIT due to it's high level. going to pick up IT course. the one more general, not specific.

recently passed the IELTS academic test with the mark of eight points overall (8 out of 9)

Right now I am looking for any type of grant, because my financial position is weak.
Maybe anybody can help me with the links or just names for organisations, that can provide the grant for student from CIS?

I have also heard about long-time loans for students (like: study, get a job, pay it off. thought it was in Germany, but maybe it can be applied here)

Big thanks for all people, who will write a thing out here.

    Best, reg's
    Michael

p.s. I have a lot of questions, really. But I am up to trying to find the money, then set it all up.
p.p.s you can contact me @ facebook any time. I filled the info in my profile

I'm originally from Ukraine, so I can perfectly understand your situation.

I'm going to be honest: it's going to be very difficult for you to get a grant, since you are a CIS student. However, what you have to do is go to your local County Council and ask about the types of student assistance that you may be able to get. Be sure to visit this page for more information Link to grant information.

DIT is a partner with several companies. If you have good academic record and work experience, then you should go to DIT enterprise center, which is called Hothouse. It's located in Aungier Street campus. (link here:DIT Hothouse) DIT may set you up with a company, if there is a need for people with your qualifications in it.

That's all I can think of at the moment. If you want to find out more, please Private Message me.

This might be a problem for you because.

Cause of the fact your currently not even a resident in the country. Im sure you have to be in the country for a certain amount of years in order to avail it (not sure but i think its 3-5 years min) otherwise without this structure EVERYONE around the world would come just to leech of the government funding to avail free education
