    Hi,
    I have Vaio running windows 7 64bit.
They internet explorer has gone missing.
When I went onto the microsoft website to download internet explorer 8, it only has downloads avaliable for Vista and XP not windows 7.
I have tried downloading IE 9 but when it starts to install it says.
IE explorer did not finish installing.
Set up can not continue because a more recent version of IE is installed on your computer.

Can someone please help me to download IE8 or install IE9

    Thanks

Screw IE, get Chrome instead, you'll never look back!

    WHY?!

    Seriously. Go Chrome. IE sucks.

If you need IE for certain websites then get the IE Tab extension for chrome. See... Chrome has everything!

IE8 is integrated into Windows 7 to the extent that it shouldn't be easily possible to remove it. IF you're stuck and need to launch it, type iexplore.exe into the search/run bar in your Start menu and it should be there. Once you've launched it you can pin it to your taskbar if you want to.

Also, lads - pimping Chrome in a thread where someone's trying to get an IE problem sorted on their Windows box probably comes under the banner of "Don't act the bollox with unsolicited software advocacy"...
