Galil magazine misfits

Hey all. Does anyone know if a King Arms Galil mid cap magazine will fit a cyma galil sar? I have also heard rumours that AK 74 magazines will fit the same gun.Is this true also?

No idea about the cybergun mags, I believe it is a clone of the king arms so should fit, a couple of people in the forums have the cybergun so they may be able to answer

Ak mag will fit although I know you will somtimes need to mod the mags a little to insure reliable feeding on some brands

74 or 47? i tried a G&G ak47 mag but it didnt fit or feed. I think it might be something to do with the mag catchat the front of all AK style magazines

would not surprise me if the mag catch at the back of the mags would need to be filled down similar to what is needed with 3rd part mags in the old kalash aks, i would not advice filling the catch itself on the galil as i would recommend on the ak but instead fill down the catch on the back of the magazine itself

Careful there OP - remember that you're trying to fit KA mags into a Cybergun Galil - as far as I am aware the method that Puding has linked to is to put non-KA mags into a KA.

I've a KA Galil - and the method described in Puding's link is exactly what I did to get AK mags (in my case beta project AK pmags) to fit the galil. I just preferred the look of the betas to the ak types.

I know that when I looked at the cybergun mags they we different enough from the KA mags that I disgarded them as an option for midcaps for the galil and went with the betas instead - as far as I remember the 'lip' on the barrel side of the mag was slightly lower than the normal AK or even KA types.

So ... my view (and believe me, I had tried everything prior to getting the betas) is that you might have issues with the KA mags in the cybergun - you might have more luck with standard AK mags though.

Alright i will give some AK mags a spin. Just wanted to see if you could use the cybergun in a milsim with KA midcaps,because,afterall,it is a pretty nice piece of kit!
