I was but stopped at 25 or 26 plats, decided I'd rather have homebrew so didn't update past 3.41, so trophies are now meaningless for me, which is nice.

1 plat, and unless something that I love as much as Borderlands comes out, I can't picture ever getting another one!

im kinda im level 12 with 4 plats

ive basically stopped chasing plats for the leaderboard (20 i think, which is well down the list as it happens) as i found i was starting to resent some games doing stupid missions or replaying a game over and over just for a platinum trophy. (a corrupt save file on a 2nd playthrough of Wanted:WOF sealed the deal) since then ive actually got back to enjoying games more and if after completion, ive a trophy left over which doesnt require much effort, then ill do it

I'm the same, Borderlands and all. Although I'm ridiclously close to platting Fallout 3. Just haven't gotten around to getting those last few trophies.

I'm not a trophy hunter, but I do like to get all the trophies in the games I actually want to play. I think it's an OCD thing. No way would I get a game just for a cheap plat.

maybe people could post the easy plat games.. i may try bad company 2 as i only have a few left

I've no plat. I don't have the attention span to try and get one tbh. I think the closest i have is 81% in Assassins Creed 2.

Terminator Salvation is an easy Platinum to get but the games itself is frustratingly ****.

Haha hiya mate, its been awhile, how are things dude?

I admit I do enjoying Plat'ing games, knowing that I've beaten everything in a game, whether its completing a game on the hardest setting or finishing a race under a certain time or completing certain multiplayer sections...there is a feeling of achievement and one which is enjoyable.

Completing the Kombo challenges in MKvDC and getting the Plat in DJ hero warrant a quick mention!

You got DJ Hero plat?? Holy s***! I can't even do one of the last mixes on medium so kudos. It does annoy me though when trophies are put in for the soul purpose of getting people on the servers

Trophy's annoy me a little.....I have probably 2 trophies to getna plat in burnout paradise, one of which is to invite a friend into an online game.....something I haven't done since none of my friends either have burnout or still play it.

I know mate, you've got 6or7 games on the go that you could easily Plat.
Games like Dragon Rising, Bioshock, CoD Classic are all actually handy, drop me a private line, I've info that can help you.

Hiya Mate - try this, worked for me on Dr Robo:

I noticed that whenever Robotnik would get a match the clear beans would always fall on the right side of my playing area.

No matter how many times I tried the "method" it just didn't work.

So I decided to first make the two columns on the left and then the three on the right...got it on the third try!!!

This was done on the hardest difficulty using password:
    Red, Red, Clear, Yellow

"Hold left on the d-pad until you have filled up two columns. As soon as the second column is full hold right on the d-pad.

Hold right until you have filled three columns and just let the beans fall right down the middle."

Good Luck and let us know how you get on.

Hiya mate, if you want to add me on psn, you can then send me a friend invite for Burnout and that trophy will pop shortly after, its a great game and one I generally go back to every few months.

Cool thanks, tried all the youtube videos and the cheat to get to the last level, probably would be better at the game if i went though it all properly.

Ah mate finish Fallout3 one of the best games out there and with New Vegas coming out real soon, you'd move seamlessly from one to the next, nice Plat to have.

Lol thanks mate, yeah its a really tough Plat, one of the longest ones to get.
The mixes on medium are almost as tough as on hard, just kept doing it and finally got them, there's still a good online community, with lots of people to boost with.
maybe people could post the easy plat games.. i may try bad company 2 as i only have a few left
Here's a list of games that are handy to Plat and the price is very reasonable (2nd in xtra-vision or HMV):
Bioshock - brilliant game and it doesn't take long for Plat.
Burnout Paradise - this is a trophy machine (98 trophies) brilliant game, still very popular, you get the full game (all dlc) on psn store very cheap.
Any of the Buzz games - great fun with family & friends.
CoD Classic - dl from psn - play on the easier settings, drop me a line when finished - I have something that can help - don't delete savefiles.
DeadSpace - cracking game and a cool Plat.
Disney games - Cars/Cloudy/Up etc all very handy and all available 2nd hand at good prices.
Dead to Rights Retribution - bit crazy but every easy Plat.
Fallout3 - time consuming but nothing difficult - great Plat.
Ferrari Challenge - again long Plat but nothing difficult.
inFamous - brilliant game, there is a lot of help getting those pesky shards.
The two Prince of Persia games - no real challenges and you can get throw very quick.
Sega Mega Drive - the majority of trophies are very easy, nice guide on .org
SW:TFU - not a bad game, again nice guide on .org
Tekken6 - great fighter game - unlike MKvDC & SSF4 where the Plat is handy enough
    Terminator Salvation - Rubbish game but 11Golds & 1Plat - Perfect!
The Godfather2 - not a great game but the Plat is relatively easy.
Trivial Pursuit - easy easy easy...lol
Uncharted 1&2 - 2 outstanding games and both are very easy to Plat - well worth playing for enjoyment factor, Plat pretty much comes with gameplay.
The Wrestling games - they can be fun without anything really challenging.

Lol well there's a few to keep ye going for a month or three!

Fuel and SOCOM are very easy, if you game save/ glitch them ;) , not my style though. They'd probably be the easiest ever considering there's little work involved.

Never went out of my way for Plats but got them on Tekken 6 and Assassin's Creed 2. Only starting to get into them since my mate started taking the piss of me for having a lower level than him. Don't like to lose :P

I think the best trophies / achievements encourage you to explore the game, finding bits and pieces that you wouldn't otherwise, and honing your skills to make you better at a game. Ones the compel you to complete a level in a certain way, perfect moves (Street Fighter IV is a good example) or get the most out of the game are my favourites.

But I'm unlikely to ever get a Platinum for one reason: collectibles. I just find it such a waste of time to collect stuff just for the sake of it. On Xbox I'm extremely close to the Assassin's Creed II 1000 gamerpoints. But I never bothered getting the last two or three achievements because it involved looking for a hundred flags, which I honestly don't have the time or patience to go for.

That said, I do like having a healthy amount of trophies. Picking up ones in challenging games like Rock Band, Demon's Souls (although, again, don't have the patience to get the best weaponry ones) or Bayonetta is satisfying.

My only real trophy obsession game is Yakuza 3. I just feel compelled to get as many as I can. Unfortunately I'm destined to never get 100% for a number of reasons, mainly because some of the minigames 100% completion rules (**** you, darts!) would make even the most hardened yakuza member break down in defeat. But every trophy I've earned in that game feels like a badge of honour. And it's an absolutely brilliant set of useless rewards, because it definitely hints at the wealth of activity and stuff to do in the game.

Platted both Uncharted games, AC2 and God of War 3. I don't see the point of platting games that make you do really really REALLY annoying miniscule challenged, would rather games that had about 90% plot based trophies (Of course alot of these could be "Do blah blah in 30seconds on extra hard difficulty) rather than going around picking up shards, feckin' shards.... *shakes fist*.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,977 ✭✭✭Polar101

I'm close to getting the plat in Fallout 3, but I didn't notice the leveling trophies until the end.. so I'd have to play again till level 14 or so. Not too exciting, so I think I'll keep my plat count at zero.

Well if you want to add me as a friend I will accept an invite to get you that Trophy.

    PSN ID - The40Watt

If anyone wants to add me for a mutual helping hand for the 'Invite a friend' trophy I would appreciate it.

Just got back into the game after a 6 month sabbatical and I'm up to 70% of the total trophies, but only a few short of the platinum.
