6.01 is not something your will normally find in stock in Ireland, any reason for a 6.01 over a 6.03, the improvement in performance over the two on an aeg is debatable and the cost of 6.01 barrel is rather extortionate

i have a 6.03 in my scar, does the job...6.01's are hard to find and a bit more expensive

I use a madbull 6.03 barrel and gaurder clear hop up rubber in nearly all my aeg's and I think this is an excellent combo if your looking to get good range and accurecy and the parts won't break the bank. Good quality bb's are a must to get the most from this kind of set up.

    As above^^

I've read some posts on here about problems with 6.01 tight-bore barrels. The jist of it is that the barrel is too tight, and can cause more frequent jams...jams that wouldn't otherwise happen with 6.03 etc.

When you get a tightbore barrel, there will be a slight increase in FPS, so if your Scar is already teetering on the 320's, you may have to replace the spring, or snip a couple of coils off of your existing one. If you're replacing the barrel with one of the same length (363mm is standard M4 length - I think the scar is the same, but might be longer...if so, I think it's 430mm) then you won't have to change anything, although virtually everyone here will recommend you change the hopup rubber. Number 1 recommended is Guarder Clear. It's not necessary, but it does give superior performance over stock rubbers.

If you change the barrel to a longer one, then you may have to change the cylinder, as it may not produce enough air to push the BB out of the barrel.

    Hope this helps :)

I've bought the madbull 6.03 tight bores and hop up rubbers in both Mia and qas, both are good shops for after market bits.

Mid West Airsoft had 6.03 barrels on there web site last week, not there now I know because I got a 363mm barrel from him
Tony can order you any length that you need ( he has done this for me a few times )
