As in; the actual tempreture. Also, is there anyway to gauge this with a program?

AND I have a laptop and on the left side there seems to be a vent which is fine but on the bottom is another one and my leg is under that part (when I sit on my bed using it). Is this dangerous at all?

You can use something like Coretemp to gauge the temperature of the CPU, but that doesn't really give an accurate reading of the outside temps...

You're better off putting something between it and the bed (not your lap!) if you want to stop it from overheating

    Okay thanks! :)

See, I sit kind of cross-legged/indian style. So I have the laptop like that on my knees. But it would be safe for the laptop to have a sort of... seat? There's like a stool downstairs (well it's about half a foot tall and wooden) so it could go on my bed I think.

I mean the fan area is really warm (not too hot to leave your hand on though). So I just don't want my laptop to go boom or melt or something. :P
