Ebay Problems

    Hi Guys,

Just need your opinion on this. Last week I bought a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers on Ebay for €40. Recieved them today and realised they are fake.

They came in a fancy smancy box (Which is fake by the way), they are so cheap to the touch, fake hinges, fake lenses, the arms are horizontal etc.. etc...

So I opened a Paypal dispute with the seller but how exactly will I get my money back? The seller will most likely demand their glasses back meaning I have to pay postage and secondly they will deny recieving them thus refusing to refund me.

I know when you sell any brand names on Ebay you have to tick a box stating that the goods you sell are 100% genuine. I've sold plenty of items on ebay and never lied to the buyer, this seller has really pi**ed me off.:mad:

Kind of obvious that they were going to be fake.

You return them by registered post, then you get your money back. You pay for the return postage, because that's how eBay and Paypal work. Next time, don't believe you can get designer gear for such a cheap price. It simply doesn't happen.

Tbf, who still believes that the surprisingly cheap chinese "authentic" branded items on ebay are actually real?

Anyway, you can do the above, however if you mentioned in your dispute that the item was fake, if the dispute is reviewed by paypal (ie if the seller doesnt straight up agree to a refund with return) you will be asked for documentation to prove that the glasses were fake. In that case you wont have to return the glasses.

Was in contact with the seller today. They have refunded me the money and told me to keep the glasses. :)

Now ensure that you leave the seller positive feedback - The item may be fake , but he sounds like a genuine eBayer . ;)

I'd leave neutral feedback. Sellers that sell fakes shouldn't be given positive feedback, no matter the outcome. This is hardly a positive experience for the buyer.

    I hope that was sarcasm.
