When Sky install a new HD box, do they use the same sky card, or do they use a new card as well.
And if they do, is the exisitng Sky+ card yours to keep and use elsewhere?

    Pls excuse my ignorance

If you are simply upgrading from sky + to a sky hd box then they will use the same card, so I would recommend watching or backing up your previous recordings...

Thanks, how do you back up your sky plus recordings?

Hook up your Sky+ box to a DVD recorder or a VHS machine.

You will either need to put them on a dvd or vcr by connecting it to the sky box, but some programs are macro protected so they may come out in black and white if at all...best suggestion would be to start watching your recordings
