Not being smart but why blue? Why a pit and not a staffie?

Have you tried rescue centres around your area - a bit North of Kerry is EGAR for instance ...

TBH Blue APBT are VERY VERY rare to come across in Ireland. A Blue staffy would be far easier to get. But if its an APBT you want maybe to could go for another colour? TBH its not their colour thats gets your heart its their personality :) Their are so many APBT in shelters and pounds that would love a new home ;)

    Hi TaraR,

I already have an APBT called Roxie and your right about their personality:). I'm definately going to get a male and I'm really not too fussed about the colour but did notice that blue ones are quiet rare. I would also get one from a pound but would prefer a young pup so as to be sure that they are properly socialised. Maybe i'll check some pounds anyway:)

    Hi sligopark,

I'm not fussy on colour but the blue ones seem quiet rare so just curious really. Both pitbulls and staffies are wonderfull dogs but i'm after a male APBT for now as i have a bitch already. Will probably get a staffie sometime tho:)

@ sligopark...wats wrong with apbt's? one of your first comments was "why a pit n not a staff?" leave the man make up his own mind. if he wants a pit let him get a pit. they are brilliant dogs that cannot be faulted.

simply because the pounds and rescue centres are full of staffies - and yes those who have pitbulls do say they are a great dog - it was no slight on the breed

    Ah sigh, I think not.

There are very few pb APBT in Ireland, most APBT I have seen here are SBT or AB crosses, quite ironically. The blue ABPT in the pic actually has papers since he was brought into the RoI.

Now I will go and have a good laugh :D.
