browser trouble

    dont know if this is the ight forum but if its not could some one move it please?? :)
    basically im having trouble with my laptop...in particular my browsers
    when im at home they work perfectly fine but at college its a different story
    i always use firefox and it just wont work in college... it says loading for ages then it will say connection reset cant find the page and just wont work
    so i ahve to resort to explorer which i realy do not like using at all but that wont work either i have to reset it often for it to work it is really starting to annoy me especially because it doesnt happen to anyone else

    can any one suggest what i can do to fix it? or would i have to down load a different browser??

    sounds like a proxy problem. for use within college you may need to go through a proxy server and not directly to the internet. check with your help desk.

    go to the techie guys at college - if they can't fix it it just could be that the college internet is for lack of a better word - ****
