    Oh German is easy; you'd be surprised if you just tried. For two years I had a horrible teacher; she refused to help me; would essentially scream at me untill I left the classroom. In 3rd year I got a lovely teacher though; got a B in ordinary level. So yeah, just give it your all. Maths (if ordinary level) you can figure out what questions you'll skip (I think it's 5 out of 6 sections you have to do). History... I have no idea about. Religion wasn't on the course when I did my JC. CSPE... er... just get a bit of basic info and you should be okay (could barely tell you in the president was a few years ago when I did it and I got a B), English... GAH! All I'll say is learn to write even if your arm is falling off. Irish um, I went to an all Irish school so I couldn't really help.
    Art, never took it. Most of the girls either left it early and got good marks I believe.
    Business: learn the book keeping thing, it's easy and is worse good marks. Seriously; do as many of them as possible.

    Science: barely scrapped a pass at ordinary level so good luck :P

    You have to answer every question in Maths, for both Higher and Ordinary Level.

    Huh? I (going back to even when I did the leaving in the year of 06) you had something like 8 sections and answer 6 out of 8...
    Did it change?

    Huh? Did it change?

    I'd assume so. You have to do two papers, and there is six questions on each, all of which have to be answered.

    I hate Ireland. :D

    Ignore my advice then, sorry. :o

    For Maths, exam papers are essential. You may know everything, but you need to be able to understand the language on the paper and what you're being asked to do. Also, learn to recognise what you need to do when you see a question - for example, what time of factorising it is.

    That's all I'd say for Maths really to be honest, it's the same stuff all the time. So, if you know your stuff, you should have no problem getting an A.

    Oh, and learn your theorems. Also show your working out, and do not scribble anything out, even if you think it is wrong, you can still get marks for it.

    Learn then and write them you mean. :P

    ~Nothing quite like the moment you get the exam, jotting down key points and relaxing.

    You are correct. In the Leaving Cert, you can choose to answer six out of eight questions; however, in the Junior Cert, you must answer all questions on the paper.

    Ah I see. That does explain a memory of me not getting a feckin' A.

    Damn SIN/COS/TAN :mad:

    The only thing difficult about the HL maths exam is the feckin' wording :P
    I ALWAYS misinterpret it :(

    and FAIL. :pac:

    Distance = something over something.

    Yeah good luck. :D

    Distance = Speed x Time?

    Dad's Silly Triangle. ;)

    Ah I failed it then and I'll fail it now. :D

    At that time when we learned it I think it was a week before the damn mocks and I just was like... "no, not gonna happen, I'll take my B thank you very much". :p

    Arithmitic is simple. But factorising, that's a different story altogether! :eek:

    The x(squared) + 5x -16 = 0
    or something?
    Or are we talking about fractions like 15/2 X 5/3 = X?

    Or something else that my brain cannot understand? :P

    I don't know really. I know how to do most things, but sometimes the question confuses me.

    Get the English papers and try to look online for as many variants of the same type of questions.

    The graphs with the x/y, you'll be surprised! Honestly; I sucked at those. In tests I'd fail them. I would literally have to use the book for every single question. You'll be surprised at even if you just do as many questions as possible that you'll remember the methods. Even now I could say some cheats for some video games from over two decades ago.

    The more you do of them; the more you know of them and the more it becomes second nature.
