    Hi guys,

First time on here and this may sound stupid so sorry..Anyway I just got back into golf this year (after about 9 years without playing) and have been playing relatively well. Decided to treat myself to a dozen pro v's last week.

I was playing in a matchplay competition this morning and was 2 up after 14 (playing off 19 but on the way down...) when I hit water. Took a pro v from the bag and from then on left every single putt short. The guy I was playing told me that you must hit a pro V harder with the putter cos of the way the ball is made? Is this true?

It's taken me about 6 months to get my putting right so I'm not gonna start changing it all around again just so I can use Pro V's. Is that the case with those balls? HAving said that it was nice off the tee and stayed put on the green.

Well it's a soft ball. Not sure exactly how soft or where it would come on a chart from hard to soft balls. But I can confidently say a softer ball would need a firmer touch. Means you can be mre aggressive with putts. I'd get used to it tbh! Won't take long.
