    Hi all,

I've been using blueface with no problems since dec last year. 3 weeks ago my phone stopped working for no reason. I was on the phone to blueface and siemens support and we did a load of resets but couldn't get the phone to pick up the ip address. So we figured the phone was broken so i got a replacement (under guarantee) but I'm still having the same problem. The phone and box are connected as you can page the phone but it doesn't pick up the ip address again!!!

Was beginning to wonder if UPC are blocking the phone as i'm not using their phone system - is this possible or is there another problem i'm missing?

Has anyone had a similar problem and does anyone know how to fix it???

    Thanks Sue

I doubt it is UPC, and they certainly would not get away with it. No issues in general with my Blueface service on UPC (apart from the recent outages they had themselves).

If your saying that your phone is not getting an IP address then that would be where the problem is.

Try to either sort it out on the phone itself (if using a static IP) or work out why it's not being assigned an IP by the DHCP server in your router.

If your phone doesn't have the right IP & network settings then it's going nowhere.
