Put in by City Council, turned out to be a bit of a disaster traffic management wise (afaik due to queuing for the R/A to get onto the South Ring by the Garda Station). A few moany locals, jobsworth Cllrs and the Echo decided to make some political hay out of it and stuck their oar in.

Result is they've been put on flashing red ever since. I've actually found the junction to be easily negotiable nowadays with everyone being extra cautious then when there were no signals at all at the junction.

Still congestion on the approach to the R/A and a bit of a waste of money really. Wonder how much it all cost.

junction no problem as it is effectively still a mini-roundabout..(ie give way to traffic from your right) what a waste of tiem and money.
