Depends what you want to do,

If you want the Village, Whelans or the Sugar Club it will be ball park €500 to rent for a weekend maybe less for start of week, This will include engineers and you then take everythinhg from the door.

Smaller venues work in the same fashion whereby you book the venue for between €150-€300 and you get an engineer and you take the door.

If you go the the respected venues website you can get their numbers and other info. Give them a call and inquire, they want their dates to be filled.

There are some promoters our there that will run nights and you can get a slot but if you are running a big gig, do it yourself and reap the rewards (cash).

    Best of luck

Hi guys. My band are looking to start putting on a few gigs ourselves too. Looking for another band or two to team up with for putting on gigs, like Cerebis suggested. What type of stuff do you guys play?

fair play to all the bands above - great way to do it. And it cuts out the so called 'promoters' who sometimes take advantage of bands starting out.

Get together, pool your resources, book a venue, share the promotion, have a great gig and reap the rewards yourselves!

Best of luck with it dudes!
