    Hi all,

Looking to turn a room into a home cinema (for sport, movies and games, and music) - and looking for advice. Budget is limited, but still want quality - but the room isn't the biggest anyhow!!

    My inputs would be:
Sky HD, XBOX 360, Popcorn Hour (HD media player)

    For projector:

For sound: I already have a NAD 320 analog amp - with 2 Mission floorstanders - so could start with that, but realistically I need an A/V receiver (for HDMI passthrough also).

This looks like a great amp at a great price Onkyo TX-SP308 for £199

A question on speakers - could I use my Mission Floor stander as my 2 fronts speakers in a 5.1/7.1 setup???

Any advice on wiring/mounting the projector
    All advice appreciated

    Keith

I had an audition of that projector, had to say no, quite apparant rainbow effect from it, rainbow effect is a personal trait however so the PJ may suit you. Projectorpoint will give you a few hours to test in your home and if it does not suit you can return (you pay P+P).
On your audio comments you're better off posting a thread for advice on the Richersounds fourm, they're decent to deal with and give pretty good advice.
For cablings etc I use Kenable, no issues with them ever, good quality stuff and great prices. If you are doing a long HDMI run (10m + you should look to a 'higher' quality cable).
For mounting, I prefer shelf myself but to each their own and obviously the layout of your room could dictate.
Check out the various DIY fourms on AVFourms, you'll get lots of ideas, tips and pitfall pointers there.

    PS You haven't mentioned screen
