hi girls id like to set up a thread whereby women of all ages can come here to see what products to use to help keep their skin young and flawless.. so to begin i am in my 20s. what creams would you all advise for girls in their 20s to use? are there any everyday suncreams which ones?
how about for women in their 30s? when those wrinkles are arriving, how can we delay the process?
should we be wearing a suncream EVERY day in ireland? even on rainy days?

Deciding what to use depends on a lot more than age. You need to know you skin type etc and take into consideration the specific skin problems you may have. Maybe a trip to a beautican of cosmetic counter would be more helpful than a thread. I think a thread would be good if asking for advice for a more specific problem ie dry skin but there are no products that will suit everyone based purely on age.

Agreed, but one product that will benefit everyone at all ages is sunscreen. The sun is the most ageing element for skin and particularly the typical Irish complexion with the traditional sun holiday every year. I reckon the higher SPF the better.

I worked on a beauty counter in a sunny country a few years ago where we done complimentary skin consultations and there was a clear difference in skin ageing between the women that had worn SPF when they were younger.

It doesn't have to be a premium sun cream. Any one will do once its got high UVA and UVB filters. Depends on skin type and weather of course but I would say a factor of at least 30 for summer and 20 for winter. Higher if you're fair skinned.

Im 23 and I try to moisturise as much as I can, before makeup and before bed. I actually find my slightly oily skin is prone to less breakouts if I do and I also know (well hope) it'll prevent aging. I spent years listening to my mom go on about needing to moisturise and kept saying "but i'm already oily!", anyway when I was living in the states my skin didn't cope well with all the airconditioning and I took the plunge and tried moisturisers. Wish I'd realised sooner!
I did find it hard to find products to suit my skin as my skin adapts easily and certain products loose all their benefit it seems after a while. That or a moisturiser is too heavy. My favorite and the one I've been using the last while is Chanel precision energizing multi protection cream. Its pricy and I'd generally never buy expensive skin care products but I was in duty free and wanted to spend some left over dollars. Since then I've got into the range. I find it lasts a long time and a little cream goes a long way. Its a lovely texture and soaks in well. Pretty sure its specially for young skin (20s), its got spf 15 which i guess isn't as high as it could be but I also have spf in my makeup.

Yes, you need to wear SPF even when it is snowing! If there is day light, there are UV rays, and you should always have an SPF on.

I am 22 but I have dehydrated dry skin, so I use

    - Guinot Cleansing Milk
    - Guinot Toner (Rosewater)
    - Guinot exfoliator, its like AHA, dissolves the dead skin without the beads scrubbing in, as I find they irritate my skin.
I use this twice a week.
    - Guinot face and neck mask. Once a week.
    - Lancome eye cleanser - working from the outside in.
    - Dior HyrdaLife moisturising cream SPF 20 during the day.
    - Lancome nightcream.
    - Guinot eyemask.

Every 6 weeks I try have a high frequency facial, guinot again.

I have frownlines. But after that I am pretty happy with my skin. It takes an awful amount of effort but I think its easier to maintain youth rather than trying to restore it.

Diet and lifestyle also play a huge part in it all not just products.
