What li-po to get for a ris?

I am looking to get a 7 volt lipo for a ris, it seems to have space either side of the inner barrel for batteries, I am wondering is there a size or style more suited to this type of set up? What do people use in their m4's?

    Thanks.

I've seen some 7.4 and 11.1 fit as long as the cells are seperate so they can sit around the barrel, but it is a tight fit unless you remove doom material from the outer barrel, I have some links will try and post them

I would say that might be to large to fit between the ris and the barrel with the cells tapped together

    You could try this:

I had similar space restrictions in my TopTech T4-18 and this battery fit nicely as the two cells are split.

I have since upgraded to this LiPo, it is a tighter fit but the quality seems fine and because of the higher Mah & C-rating it can provide a higher to the motor

Its a star FNC and there is no outer barrel under the ris, so I have space.

Good to see them in comparison, I just wanted to avoid it being too big to fit, thanks.

sorry i assumed it was an m4 :) sorry about that, that will defiantly give you some more room i was under the impression you can fit a 8,4 mini in the ris on the fnc? if it is true then you will easily fit a 7.4v 2000mha 15 to 20c without to much bother

the slit cell design listed above should be no problem

For a mini to fit it has to be split cell at least, my 9.6 mini doesn't fit, but if you are sure a nunchuck would fit Id sooner get one of those as I ditched all my lipo gear awhile back. Thanks for apologising about thinking I had an m4, heaven forbid! :D

you might fine these could fit, but the split flat packs sound like your best bet so far

i know it sounds strange but use the size information to make some models out of blue take or something and throw them in the freezer to harden you cna then use the shapes to check the battery's will fit, used it for a couple of things i wanted to check before buying

I know it's not on their website but TNT do have the small Li-Po's, the ones that fit into those tiny VFC fake PEQ boxes. Maybe give them a shout and see if they have any in stock.

If a nimh mini split pack will fit I'd sooner get one of them.

Definitely the one, really great RoF and fits into the front of my Sig 552 which has a tiny space. Should have no trouble getting it into an fnc.

Mid West Airsoft do a 3 part Lipo that may fit inside the RIS

If the FNC ris can take a split standard battery that is my preference, as I sold my li-po charger and voltage meter, so don't want to buy them again.

Puding said I should be able to fit a standard split battery, so I want to try that first. Until I get a mosfet with active breaking, 9.6 volts and higher screw with my three round burst mode anyway.

Should I look at crane stock batteries? 8.4 v split types are what I'd like to get now.

I have some old split cell batterys , they no longer work but could be used as a test fit, I actually got your plum handguards returned in the post the other day, so I could send them all out if you want

That would be perfect, I found a place selling the stocks too so I can do a full ak74m conversion.

I could try to find a similar diameter material, maybe a roll of coins to test fit (i've no plastesine) and then just order a battery or put up a swap advert as I have some stick and mini batteries I don't use.
