Does anyone recognise this part, from a shower head holder assembly? More pics here, including the rest of the assembly, the head itself, etc. Can't ask the builder, gone bust.

could be a trevi, looks a bit similar, i'd email a pic of the valve to showerdoc.co.uk and see if they can tell you what it is

God I love the web! Thanks Sparkpea, I've done that, hopefully they'll recognise it.

Looks very similar to a trevi alright, but they usually have a the valve heads marked as same.

Worst case, get a new riser rail, use the existing bottom hole that drilled in the tile, then you will just have the one to path, and its only on plaster so handy enough

If a picture was taken of the valve as well you would know what it is :D

However imo these are not easy parts to get. Better to buy a new riser rail kit and modify the existing one with the parts that way your not drilling more holes..

Dam plastic riser rail kits...Bring back metal

I'd prefer to just get the part, don't want the expense or the hassle of fitting a new rail.

Which valve are you talking about? I've no problem taking more pics.

Take a picture of the face of the valve.... But as i said if you canniblise a new kit it will save you refitting as you point out...

It makes life a little easier.... As its highly unlikely you will get that part.

Like I said, what valve? When you say valve, I assume you mean something to do with the taps, but I've already posted a photo of them. Do you want me to disassemble something?

I'd have no problem buying a whole kit of this model, I assumed that's what I'd have to to at the outset. Problem is finding the kit. I've searched Cork top to bottom, but 99% of the kits are for electric showers.

Oh excuse me... Sometimes i think some things are obvious... My apologies... Take a picture of the shower valve that this kit is attached to... Take a couple just in case.

I'm not a plumber Joey the lips, I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. There's valves in the taps, and presumable in the head too. What valve are you referring to. Do you want a closeup of one of these photos?

Picture 3 is the valve... Its an unbranded thermostatic valve which means you will find it impossble to get the part unless someone has it and knows what it is...

You will have to buy a new kit...Sorry.

If I could find the kit, I'd buy it. Hopefully showerdoc will recognise it. I did post those photos in the very first post in the thread.

I done a lot of them

Killeagh Gardens in Cork. The guy working for the liquidator seems to be clueless, I know more about the heating systems in these houses now than he did when he "taught" us how to use it. To be fair though, the kit in these houses seems a bit different to the rest of the houses in the estate, they were tacked on later because of a planning issue and I think the builder wanted them for himself.

If i were a betting man i would bet on this being the valve..

in which case phone pulsar and quote the model number asking them for the part.

However as they will most likely rip you a new bum i would actually order this first.

As a lot of these parts can be rethro fitted in some ways... Just depends on the handset fitting.

Thanks again for this tip Sparkpea, ShowerDoc came back after a polite reminder of my email and told me this fella should work, and it did. All sorted now.

Well done...So he did end up giving you a standard head in the end... Its always the easier option. If you need one again woodies have there own version.

    He didn't, and they don't.

    He did and they do.:)

A universal head which is the picture you showed is a standard head and yes woodies do them but if you dont get them in your local woodies you can get them in

Woodies do full rail kits, which cost 3 times the price. I know you mean well, but do me a favour and help someone else. All you've done is lead me astray and waste my time with nonsense.

sparkpea, again thanks for your help.
