    Can anyone tell me, If you get a driving ban for 6 years for drink driving, how long of the ban do you have to do before you can apply for your license back?

    i think its 2/3 of the ban then you can go back to court to plea with the judge, so if you got 6 years you can go about restoring it after 4 years

    Depends on when ban was imposed.

    If the disqualification was imposed prior to 5 March 2007 you would have to do a minimum of 2 years of the ban. A judge might require you to do more.

    If imposed after 5 March 2007, 4 years to be served - you can apply earlier but the restoration will take effect only after 4 years.

    Either you were ridiculously over the limit, you got one bad bástard of a judge or there's more to this than just drink driving.

    2nd offence of drink driving
    (a) Exceeding 150 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood; (b) Exceeding 200 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of urine; (c) Exceeding 66 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

    Is 6 year disqualification.
