The Nobel Prize for Literature 2010 has been awarded to Mario Vargas Llosa.

    Thoughts?

I've only read The Bad Girl and I have to admit I didn't like it at all. I felt the style was trashy and the storyline was ridiculous and pretty chauvinist too.

Did I start with the wrong book? Can anyone recommend a better starting point for his books?

I remember liking his book of short stories, "The Cubs and Other Stories", but must have read it 5 or 6 years ago now.

I'll be getting his novel on Casement the moment the english translation comes out. I always though that Casement's pysche was perfect for a novel.
