Certificate of Tax Credits

    G'day

I'm a college student, and was fortunate enough to be approved for the government grant system. I need a bank account, and the idea of making a joint account with my mother came up, as I still live with her. The bank (Ulster Bank) requested proof of residency, I don't have any bills, have never worked or been garda vetted. They told me to get a "Certificate of Tax Credits" from revenue as that would be a valid proof of residency.
Going through the application form I realised I can only fill in about half of it since I have never worked.
I want to know if that is a viable way to gain proof of residency or are there any other options that would suit me better?

(This seemed the most appropriate place to post)
