Hyundai Getz Sunroof

Have an 05 Getz which has been very reliable but today when I started it up the sunroof opened on its own, and the buttons wouldn't work to close it. After about 5 minutes it closed on its own and now won't open.

Not too worried about it not opening at this time of year, but I'm afraid it'll open again on it's own while it's raining. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Had that on a Focus. Turned out water was getting in through the sunroof seal and down by the switch. Miniscule amount getting in but coming out to find a car with a soaking wet interior forst thing in the morning is no fun.

Faulty sunroof motor was a common enough problem on the Coupe, it might be a similar problem with the Getz. If it needs to be replaced then it will not be cheap.
