My electric fencer was stolen last night and I am f**king raging. It was near the road and may have been visible to higher vehicles and its a quiet road too.. Ballinasloe is not too far from me so probably pickeys scouting at night while the horse fair is on.
Where do they sell them?? I mean farmers should know if a knaker is selling them second hand that they are hot.....

I hope the c**ts that stole mine get f**king caner and there families die some horrible deaths too......

Sorry for the language but Im so angry......
    Rant over

It could be a neighbour too, there is a few neighbours around me and we can't leave anything laying about, let it be pto shafts, pins or anything. They'd nearly sifon the fe8in diesel!

I had an electric fence stolen too, a while back. So had a neighbour of mine. A real sickener alright!

Who buys off them only other farmers. Go to any mart and you'll see them on sale there. That's why you shouldn't buy as much as a vice-grip from them.;)

We had one robbed years ago, it was right down by the shore, not a hope of seeing it from the road. One of two neighbours that lifted it for sure, saying it and proving it though  Good time to believe in karma.

There was an auld fella across the fields from us long ago, bloody everything would walk away... When he died there was a shed at the side of the house with about 100 shovels/forks/grapes/hay knives, and anything that could be carried in it, most were there so long the handles had rotted away to dust... they reckoned he was collecting them for about 50 years

Sorry to hear about your fencer, that's very annoying:mad:

I think your right about who has stole it, there's loads of them around for the fair. But I think you can wave bye bye to it now, they're not going to be silly enough to sell it on at the fair. I'I be in for a look myself though over the weekend so I'I keep an eye out, you never know:o

A farmer in the parish had his house broken into too, while he was at the local hurling match. It's like as if they knew he'd be at the game.
Everyboby I meet is talking about it. It'd make yer blood boil alright.

It's a weak link, but still elec fence related...

What boiled my blood the other day is when I went in to check land away from the house, it's in a by-road. I came in around a bend and the neighbour had an elec fence gate put up ACROSS the road! (I kid you not) He routinely let's his cattle out 'on the open range' to graze the sides of the road, but this was just one step too far!

Ahhh. Grazing the long acre. Well there is a recession on:). Should be fun though coming around the bend with a cow on your lap. Some people never think

Ha ha :D Too much thinking he does! Not about anyone else though. Another time he'd buried a little hole in the ditch and looped his length of elec fence onto ours to get power....cheeky is not the word:mad:

For about 20 quid,an old cell phone, with abit of soldering some wire ,a wooden clothes peg, couple of brass thumbtacks and fine fishing line,or wire ,and a small tupperware box,you can build a pretty good trip wire anti tamper GSM alarm that can contact you the moment that fencer is lifted,or a path is crossed, door opened.IF you know how.:D
I'll have to put up the plans for this and flog them to ye for a fiver via paypal.

    Hi,

Would you believe I had a roll of white electric fence stolen. Put up a temporary fence to divert some cows out a gate. Just took time to pull the stakes with the intention of going back to roll up the tape the next day. Went back and someone else had saved me the bother.
