    Hi!

When you've been on the dole and you then start to work again whats the story with tax?
Do you have to start paying at the full rate or do you have your full tax free allowance at your disposal again ? And if you then lose that job can you claim back the tax you have paid ?

    Cheers

Yes, you can use the tax credits from earlier in the year. (you can't carry them over between years though, so this doesn't help if it's Jan or Feb that you start working).

However to make sure you get 'em, be 100% certain that revenue know that you weren't working earlier in the year. Also, if you were on JSB, they will need to allow for the tax on this ('cos it's taxable, but Welfare don't take the tax off ... yes it sucks ... )
