I only changed my brake pads around 3 months ago. I've noticed for the past week that when I'm braking during slow speeds (i.e. braking during heavy traffic) and then when I lift my foot of the brake pedal my brakes are squeaky. Is this normal?

Could be the wear indicator rubbing of something.

Did you put small touch of copper grease between the piston on the calipers and pads?

No :( I got the brake pads changed in a garage. Not very mechanical so I have no idea where the piston is. Think my safe bet is to go and get it checked out

I've found youtube videos are very good for showin things like this.

Its a common mistake made by mechanics in a hurry not to apply

copper grease to the bads where the brake piston pushes the pad

    against the disc.
