Hi Guys, Im looking into running a comp next February. Its for Medical students, our GPs, consultants, Reg's, and Prof's. We're obviously not members of any 1 mutual golf society. Any advice on how to go about this? Thanks, John

Well you should have no problem with sponsorship..
    Course..convenient and good
    Grub...check prices
    Charge for entry
    Prizes
    Communicating the event?
    Nearest pin/longest drive
Golfers to help who understand scoring etc No 1

Most clubs would be very happy to assist you in all these matters and take the worry and uncertainty out of the equation. To keep all you're group reasonable happy the venue would have to be a primary consideration. Have you decided on where you want the outing to take place?
