    Hey guys,
Thinking of applying for this course next year after dropping out of one after 1st year there!! Any info at all would be GREAT!
    - modules
    - hours
    - many exams at Christmas/summer?
    - DCU in general?

Also, it's Irish and French that I wish to do, any info. particularly on the Irish?

Furthermore, I'd love to go into teaching after or maybe just translations, but would you be able to do the Dip in Edu after this course to qualify you as an Irish and French teacher? (That part particularly confuses me  )

Thanks in advance for ANY info. at all as I really wanna hear from someone who has done the course/knows someone doing it etc.

    :)

    Hello Catrina!
I'm one of the class reps for Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies (ALIS), and I can't say anything other than it's an absolutely fantastic course! I have 13 hours a week, the timetable is really nice to us if you're into doing loads of social acitivites. You'll find that there's a really relaxed atmosphere in the course and it's a motley crew of people from all walks of life! The lecturers are lovely people and the course is kind to those who work well in class but don't like to do much study but rather put what they've learned into practice!
Don't be afraid to give me a PM if you have any questions!
    Cheers!
    Ryan

Sorry for the late reply! Just got a job and I'm never on this! That's great, sounds really good. At this moment in time I'm between your course and Applied Languages in UL. Very unsure. Thanks a million I'll give you a PM when i'm down to the "nitty gritty" and really trying to decide! :)

    Hiya,
Thanks a million just after checking it out, it's really detailed and gives me a good idea of what the course is really about. At the moment I've stopped thinking about what i'm gonna do next year as i'm working full time and there is not time to! But when I sit down and start filling up the CAO i'll give you a shout. Thanks for the info, appreciate it :):)
